The US Scripps Spelling Bee Spellers

The US Scripps Spelling Bee  2017 Final is just around the corner, and almost 300 passionate spelling bee spellers will be taking part in the event.

Some interesting statistics:

  • Grades represented run from K through to 8.
  • Competitors are aged between 6 and 15, with Edith Fuller from Oklahoma being the youngest.
  • The states with the most competitors are Illinois and Ohio, followed closely by Texas, New York and California.
